On the dark side!

So...is Severus Snape as evil as he is depicted? Last we read, Snape had killed our beloved headmaster, Albus Dumbledore. What are your thoughts? Is this what really happened or is there something going on behind the scenes that we don't know about?

He's good. Why else would he alert Order members in OP? He could've killed Dumbledore because Dumbledore wanted him to keep secret that he worked for the good side. And yes, I know that he and Harry hate each other, but that's just 'cause Harry's dad and Snape hated each other in the first place. I really think he's good. Please comment!

I think that Severus Snape is really good - he is just trying to look evil to save face in front of everyone. I believe he and Dumbledore had a pact before the end of book 6 and that he had to kill Dumbledore in order to keep the pact and help the greater good. I think in book 7, we will find out the real reason behind his actions at the end of book 6!

I think he's good. I agree with anonymous that we will find out in book 7 why he killed Dumbledore. Dumbledore obviously trusted him and Dumbledore is rarely wrong!

He is bad and you know it. I think he is afraid of Harry and Dumbledore as a team but he thinks he can take on Harry if Harry is by himself. Remember in the first part of book 6 They said Mothoy was branded with the dark mark. I think Mothoy and Snape teamed up to try to kill Harry Potter.

Dumbledore wanted Snape to kill him. There's evidence all over the place. Like the arguement that Hagrid overheard between Snape and Dumbledore. And the whole "coward" thing. And Snape could have killed Harry ANY TIME during the series- but he never did. He's saved Harry's life, however, on more than one occasion.
