The latest movie...what did you think?

For those that have seen HARRY POTTER AND THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX now in theaters, what did you think of the movie? Did you enjoy it? Did they leave too much information out? Was it too dark?

I thought the movie was fantastic! It was a bit dark, but that's how the book was written. And there was plenty of comic relief thrown in- (thanks Fred and George!!) to lighten things up a little.

YES they left too much information out. the movie was incredibly disappointing. the battle scene in ootp (the book) is just phenomenal, incredibly well written and one of the most exciting battle scenes in literature, and it was condensed to a few minutes of dumbledore looking bland and a not-at-all intimidating voldemort just kind of...standing there. the movie was still sort of fun, since it IS harry potter, after all, but on the whole i thought it was a waste.

It was a very huge book and unfortunately its unrealistic for us to think a movie could possibly fit it all in! There were many aspects of the book i was looking forward to seeing in the movie. The events that they did show were too fast paced and i feel anyone who had not read the book could possibly follow whats happening in the movie!

I agree that the movie left too much out and that anyone who does not read the books can't understand it. I was a bit disappointed with all that they left out. Kreacher needed more attention, but I was also disappointed when they left Dobby out of the 4th movie. I could go on forever about what they should have left in. I found myself telling my husband about all the things in the book that did not happen in the movie as the movie was playing, and he was not really happy about it.
